Designed for side mounting on reactors or tanks, RAM-type flanged sampling valves provide a reliable and practical solution for obtaining representative process samples. Originally manufactured in stainless steel with PTFE seals, these valves feature a modular design that allows materials, sealing elements, and actuators to be configured to meet a wide range of process requirements. RAM sampling valves are also available in a crust-breaking version with a protruding stem for applications involving liquids that tend to crystallize or form crusts.
Side mounted RAM sampling valve

The RAM side-mounted sampling valve can also be installed in side tappings on pipes. Depending on the sampling and production parameters, the RAM sampling valve can be modulated in terms of its mantle, body materials and actuators.
Reactor / tank bottom sampling valve type RAM

Crust breaking sampling valve type RAM
For liquids that crystallise or form crusts, RAM's crust-breaking sampling valves with outgoing stem enable to take representative samples. The stem breaks the crust at the flange. Below is an indicative diagram of a RAM type sampling valve for side mounted reactors with the crust-breaker option. Also available for reactor / tank bottom valves, this crust-breaking option can be combined with the pneumatic actuator.
Actuators for crust-breaking RAM type sampling valve
The RAM reactor sampling valve with crust-breaking option is combined with the pneumatic actuator. The force of this actuator breaks up any crust that may have formed on the flange.
